And when you say RDF, people are surprisingly often inclined to think you are talking about “RFID” (Radio Frequency Identification)" Very, very true, and characteristic of any starting technology. This said it's a bit like the web at the beginning, remember? HTML (not forgetting all the other protocoles... now mostly relegated to antiques...), CSS, PHP (which at first I thought might relate to PGP...),.
