My colleague Thomas Thurner has put some Open Government Data initiatives on a map to get an overview what is happening around the world in this area. This is an important step to collect initiatives worldwide so we can follow our objective to build a network of OpenGov initiatives around the world in the course of building a focal point for the LOD topic – many thanks for your support!
(This initiative is part of the LOD2 project which was recently started in Leipzig.)
An additional remark about the pins on the map. To get a pin on the map i looked if there is any activity regarding exchange of real Open Government Data organized by the initative. So this is why e.g. Austria isn’t on the map: Even we are active to get the OGD thing running, we still have no exchange of data jet (hopefully we can present a good filled at.ckan.org in the next month).
